The Conference includes a range of special events that you won’t want to miss! Many of these are included in your registration; some are separately ticketed.

Wednesday, June 15

First-Time Attendee Orientation
3:45-4:15 pm
Whether you’re new to the choral field or simply attending our Conference for the first time, this orientation is the perfect introduction to the friendly Chorus America community. Members and staff will be there to answer any questions you may have about the Conference or Chorus America in general, and help you make the most of your time in Cincinnati.

Opening Night Reception
9:00-10:30 pm
Even if you are new to the Chorus America family, you are sure to feel right at home at this event. Our Opening Night Reception always has the welcoming feel of a reunion, as attendees make new friends, renew acquaintances, and network with colleagues immediately following the Wednesday evening Opening Night Concert.

Thursday, June 16

Awards Breakfast and Annual Meeting (free to attendees, but ticketed)
9:00-11:00 am
Throughout the Conference, Chorus America recognizes artistic excellence, education and community engagement initiatives, and outstanding leadership in the choral field. Our 2016 awards will be presented at this celebratory breakfast, which is free to all attendees but requires a separate ticket to be requested during the registration process. The Annual Meeting portion of this event is an opportunity to learn about Chorus America's activities.

President’s Dinner and Auction (separately ticketed)
7:30-9:30 pm
During this evening of celebration, we will pay tribute to the rich Cincinnati-area choral scene and the leaders who make it so special. A fast-paced live auction of items sure to entice all bidders tops off the evening.

Friday, June 17

Former Board Luncheon (by invitation)
12:00-2:00 pm
This special luncheon thanks former board members for their service to Chorus America, which continues to pay dividends for the organization’s work today.

Chairman’s Reception (by invitation)
6:30-7:30 pm
This special reception provides an opportunity for Chorus America to thank our generous donors of $500 or more. The Michael Korn Founders Award for Philanthropic Contribution to the Arts and the Chorus America Philanthropy Award are presented at this event.
