ADEI Learning Lab

The ADEI Learning Lab is a program for choral leaders who seek tools and supportive guidance to advance ADEI work in their organizations, and identify as having experienced privilege based on their identities. Participants in the cohort of the Learning Lab should have an interest in dismantling structural racism in the choral field, being an agent of positive change in their organizations, and becoming better allies and accomplices to their colleagues who have felt marginalized because of race.

The Learning Lab provides a space to discuss and confront issues of race, racism, Whiteness, and White supremacy culture in choral music and teaches foundational knowledge in access, diversity, equity, and inclusion (ADEI). The cohort is specifically designed for choral leaders who have experienced privilege because of race or ethnicity. In this small, cohort-style, four-week experiential online program, you’ll engage with the material in small groups during interactive live sessions with faculty and fellow participants, as well as through assignments and readings between sessions.
