Chorus America Annual Conference Scholarships

Chorus America offers a variety of scholarship opportunities to attend the Conference. You may choose to apply for any and all scholarships for which you are eligible; however, a maximum of one scholarship will be awarded per individual. Preference will be given to first-time Conference attendees.

General Scholarships
Chorus America will award ten general scholarships to Chorus America members in good standing (individual, student, or chorus organizational member). The scholarship covers the cost of registration but does not include special events with an additional fee (i.e. in-depth sessions).

Student Scholarships
Chorus America will award five student scholarships to first-time attending graduate or undergraduate students. The scholarship includes a student membership and covers the cost of registration but does not include special events with an additional fee (i.e. in-depth sessions).

Regional Scholarships
This year, thanks to the generosity of ArtsWave and The William O. Purdy, Jr. Foundation Fund of The Greater Cincinnati Foundation, we are delighted to provide additional support for regional choral leaders. Preference will be given to members of the Greater Cincinnati Choral Consortium. For more details on these specific opportunities, see below.

  • Cincinnati Scholarships: Chorus America will award five scholarships to individuals who are choral leaders living or working in the city of Cincinnati. The scholarship covers the cost of registration but does not include special events with an additional fee (i.e. in-depth sessions).
  • Greater Cincinnati Scholarships: Chorus America will award five scholarships to individuals who are choral leaders living or working in the Greater Cincinnati area. The scholarship covers the cost of registration but does not include special events with an additional fee (i.e. in-depth sessions). The Greater Cincinnati area includes Hamilton, Butler, Clermont, and Warren counties in Ohio, and Boone, as well as Campbell and Kenton counties in Kentucky.

The deadline to apply for all scholarships is Friday, March 25, 2016. Recipients will be notified on or before the early-bird deadline of March 31.
