Conducting Academy 2018

Build choral-orchestral skills and advance your career in a supportive learning environment with master teachers.

Chorus America’s Conducting Academy gives choral conductors a unique opportunity to develop choral-orchestral skills and enhance their university training. During this week-long program, participating conductors will have the opportunity to conduct choral-orchestral repertoire including the Mozart Requiem and Bernstein's Chichester Psalms in celebration of the Bernstein Centennial. A professional orchestra and chorus will be in residence, and the Academy culminates with a final performance in Meng Concert Hall. The Conducting Academy is hosted by California State University, Fullerton. A world-class faculty offers podium coaching, video review sessions, individual instruction, and symposia on topics such as classical period performance practice, score preparation, and orchestral rehearsal procedures.
