Even if you are new to the Chorus America family, you are sure to feel right at home at this event. Throughout the conference, Chorus America recognizes artistic excellence, education and community engagement initiatives, and outstanding leadership in the choral field. Our 2014 awards will be presented at this celebratory Awards Luncheon, which is open to all registrants.

Emerging Leaders Mixer
Chorus leaders age 35 or under (or close!) are invited to raise a glass and rub shoulders with your fellow “next generation” peers before the Thursday Night Concert.

Chairman’s Reception (By Invitation)

This special reception provides an opportunity for Chorus America to thank our generous donors of $500 or more.

Former Board Luncheon (By Invitation)
Friday, June 13
12:00-1:45 pm

This special luncheon thanks former board members for their service to Chorus America, which continues to pay dividends for the organization’s work today. It is also a wonderful opportunity for long-time colleagues to reconnect.

Cocktail Hour
6:15-7:15 pm

Banquet and Auction
7:15-9:30 pm
During this evening of celebration, we will pay tribute to the rich DC-area choral scene and the leaders who make it so special. A fast-paced live auction of items sure to entice all bidders tops off the evening.

Saturday, June 14

Raise It Up! Anthem for America
Chorus America and the Kennedy Center partner with the Smithsonian's National Museum of America History on a spectacular event honoring the 200th anniversary of the Star-Spangled Banner.

This concert on the terrace of the Museum's Mall entrance will feature celebrity singers, a massed choir conducted by Eric Whitacre and Francisco J. Núñez, and the U.S. Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants. The event will be webcast so that people around the United States can add their voices to a 4:00 p.m. sing-a-long of the national anthem.

For more information, visit the Smithsonian's special website for the celebration.
