Plenary Sessions

Our Conference plenary sessions feature inspiring speakers and current ideas that are shaping the future for choruses and other arts organizations. The Conference opens on Wednesday with a look at keeping choruses relevant as Deke Sharon, the father of contemporary a cappella, is interviewed by long-time friend Josh Habermann. On Thursday, Kennedy Center president Michael Kaiser will talk about arts management in today’s changing environment. A panel of high-profile arts leaders moderated by National Arts Strategies’s Russell Willis Taylor will explore the role of the arts in our society during a Friday panel discussion. And on Saturday morning, Urban Bush Women’s unique approach to telling stories through dance will inspire new ideas about how to bring the stories of your own organization to life.

Plenary sessions begin with a Morning Sing, which has become a Chorus America signature event and an attendee favorite.
