Plenary Sessions

Our Conference plenary sessions feature inspiring speakers and current ideas that are shaping the future for choruses and other arts organizations. Celebrated composer Morten Lauridsen will open the Conference on Wednesday with a discussion of the influences that have shaped his career and compositions. On Thursday, consultant and researcher Salvador Acevedo talks about the need to adapt to changing demographics in order to stay relevant to today's audiences. During Friday's session, Laura Zucker, executive director of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, will share from her experience of blending life as a performing artist with a career as an arts manager. And on Saturday morning, our focus will be on community engagement strategies, with a speaker to be announced soon.

Plenary sessions begin with a Morning Sing, which has become a Chorus America signature event and an attendee favorite.
