The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) could be the law that puts music back in all classrooms. ESSA replaces No Child Left Behind, the current version of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. In terms of emphasis on requirements, it might not be that different than No Child Left Behind, but as for philosophy on reform, it is radically different, according to Lynn M. An evening where you will rehearse 4 pieces with the Choir and their director, Dr Stephen Darlington, and then sing the program together.  TIME AND PLACE: 7.30pm Monday April 7, 2015 at Grace Church on-the-Hill—300 Lonsdale Road, Toronto  Why are we doing this? One of the principal aims of this concert is to strengthen the bonds of community in Toronto’s choral community. The program is designed to offer something for all tastes and experience. The Simple Gifts Concert Series of the Glenview Community Church presents The Bonifantes Boys Choir on Wednesday, March 12 at 7:00pm.  Founded in 1999 in Pardubice, Czech Republic by its Artistic Director, Jan Míšek, the Bonifantes Boys Choir is part of a school known as Bonifantes School of Arts with an enrollment of 350 students.  The touring choir is comprised of 32 boys ages 10 – 18.  They will perform Czech and European sacred, secular and folk choral works as well as American works, spanning from the Renaissance to 20th century.  A free will offering will be taken.
