Pioneer Valley Symphony Chorus - New Singers Welcome!

Hadley, MA

J Harvey | Adults/Seniors, General, Rehearsal

The Pioneer Valley Symphony Chorus (http://pvsoc.org/) is seeking new singers of all voice parts to join us in the spring semester. We will be preparing for a season finale performance of Mendelssohn's "Elijah" on Saturday May 20 at the UMass Amherst Fine Arts Center.   Rehearsals begin on Tuesday January 3, 7pm, at Most Holy Redeemer Church in Hadley (120 Russell St, Hadley, MA 01035). We rehearse there every Tuesday evening, 7-9pm.   New singers must sign up for a placement hearing, which consists of a short singing session with director Jonathan Harvey exploring range, tonal memory, ear, and intonation. There is no need to prepare a piece. You can sign up for a time here:   http://doodle.com/poll/sutzhtyxnig5s769   Even if your placement hearing is on January 10, you should still come to the first rehearsal on January 3. We look forward to meeting you then! Read more
