Building on momentum from the artistic director emeritus and founder, Joan Gregoryk’s 20th anniversary season, Children’s Chorus of Washington (CCW) is delighted to announce its auditions and registration for its remarkable 21st season under the direction of its new artistic director Margaret Nomura Clark. CCW is holding open auditions this June and again in late August and early September for its five internationally recognized ensembles, Treble Chorus, Bel Canto Chorus, Concert Chorus, Chamber Chorus, and Young Men’s Ensemble.   Join the 84 members of the Lincoln youth choir for a night of glorious gospel and upbeat pop music. Since 2001, the Lincoln High School Gospel Choir has produced a spring show every other year focusing on diversity in our world, incorporating their experience with Jewish, African American, and Native American music. The group has performed at St. John The Divine and Jazz At Lincoln Center in the famous Allen Room overlooking Central Park, and will now bring its talents and broad musical vision to Lincoln Center. Directed by Darcy Reese, the members of the choir will be joined by a professional orchestra and singers including Tonia Hughes and Darnell Davis who will help bring the thrill of music to new heights. Show Me LOVE: Bringing Beauty & Love To A Hurting World seeks to show that today's youth are taking on tough issues through song in order to bring about a more peaceful world. Read more
