Support School Arts Funding During National Arts Ed Week

In conjunction with National Arts in Education Week (Sept. 11-17), The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) is urging arts education advocates to write to their congressional representatives in support of Title IV. As part of the landmark Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) legislation that was signed into law in December 2015, a block grant was created under Title IV that provides funding for "Well-Rounded" education subjects, which now includes music and the arts. To contact your member of Congress and tell them to fully fund Title IV, visit NAfME's Grassroots Action Center.

NAfME has also written a recent article on changes for music educators to come with the implementation of ESSA, which Chorus America has reprinted on our website.
