Cordus Mundi Commissions Pieces to Commemorate Tenth Anniversary

Bucks County, PA-based male a cappella group Cordus Mundi is celebrating its tenth season by commissioning new music from composers Eric William Barnum and Zachary Wadsworth, to be premiered at Cordus Mundi concerts in March and June, 2016.

Interestingly, and without any coordinated plan, both comoser-chosen texts come from nineteenth-century poets who were also friends. Barnum's piece, The Universal, uses excerpts of text from Walt Whitman, while Wadsworth draws from the work of George MacDonald for Love's History.

The Universal by Eric William Barnum will premiere on March 20, 2016 at Carversville Christian Church in Carversville, PA; Love's History by Zachary Wadsworth debuts on June 12, 2016 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury, PA.
