The Operations Manager serves as the primary interface for the business operations activities for Twin Cities Youth Chorale (TCYC). The Operations Manager works in partnership with the Choir Manager and the Board of Directors (BoD) to direct and manage all aspects of the organization’s finances, operations, budget, and administration to ensure fiscal responsibility and the most effective use of TCYC resources.
 
Duties
 
Financial Management
 

  • Manages collection of all revenue and donations
  • Work with the Choir Manager and from the TCYC checking account,
    • prepare and distribute all monthly payroll checks
    • pay all valid organization bills in a timely manner, prior to due date
  • Reconcile the TCYC banking account information, at least monthly and
    • Identify missing or incorrect items and work with the bank or appropriate party to resolve
  • Work with the Treasurer to monitor expenses to budget line items; coordinate proper expense allocations
  • Work with Treasurer to prepare annual financial statements, and all local, state and federal government reports and filings

 
Budget Management
 

  • Work with the staff and Treasurer to prepare the annual budget
  • Manage financial operations in accordance with approved budget and governmental regulations
  • Assure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations and prepare and file reports as needed

 
Asset Management
 

  • Oversee the music library, music assignment and assembly, score procurement, and volunteer librarians
  • At least once a year, perform an inventory of all organization assets and prepare an asset management report for the BoD
  • Reconcile previous inventory to current inventory and, with the Choir Manager, identify inventory gaps and reason for gaps

 
Business Operations Management
 

  • Negotiate and execute contracts on behalf of TCYC, in conjunction with the Choir Manager and the BoD

 

  • Purchase staff and member supplies and maintain office equipment
  • Coordinate the storage of equipment and props
  • Oversee and maintain the data management system for all TCYC documents, whether printed or electronic, in a proper filing system with appropriate back- ups.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal tax regulations and prepare and file reports as needed

 

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a part time position with a starting salary of $3,000 - $5,000 Depending on Qualifications
