Description: Primarily responsible for identifying and implementing music enrichment program components for individual choirs, and coordinating Honors Choirs outreach activities. All activities undertaken with direction/ supervision of Artistic Director, in consultation with Executive Director.

Music Enrichment: Including and not limited to areas of:
 Music theory/ear-training initiative
 Basic rehearsing skills “mini-curriculum” development (posture, music marking, etc…)
 Coordinate mentorship activities between older and younger singers
 Support conductors with in-rehearsal theory work (identify and provide, as desired, appropriate materials)
 Organize/ coordinate vocal coaching opportunities
 Arrange extracurricular concert/ performance attendance opportunities (CANTUS, Met Opera auditions, Ordway, etc.)
 Plan and implement frequent online posts with links (YouTube, other) to model choral performances

Outreach: Including and not limited to areas of:
 Children’s Choral Festival
  --Coordinate schools to participate, support their engagement (handouts, logistics, T-shirts, etc.)
  --Clinician/activity planning (support AD as needed with communication, logistics, hospitality, etc.)
 Outreach Tours coordination to arrange and schedule (communications, logistics, transportation, etc.)
 Boys & Girls Club liaison to determine opportunities and implement programs

Experience and Expertise Requirements:
 Direct experience as a musician or choral singer with basic knowledge of music theory
 College degree (music education concentration a plus)
 Ability to work independently toward specific task goals
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, email, etc…
 Genuine appreciation and passion for choral music

Compensation and Benefits:

Hours: This is an hourly, non-exempt, part-time position at 16 hours per week. Work hours are flexible, with a maximum of 32 hours accumulated per two week period. The Honors Choirs office is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., so the expectation is that work hours would generally fall within those times. The pay period is bi-weekly. Additional hours will be considered based on job performance and achieved results.

Compensation: $16/hour
