Ben Hires

Ben Hires joined the Boston Children’s Chorus (BCC) in July 2009 as the director of programs. In this role, Hires provides strategy, management, and coordination for all choir activities. Since 2009, Hires has been actively involved in expanding BCC to 12 choirs and serving over 450 singers with a unique program that instills musical and social harmony.

Hires has held positions at the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras and Three Springs, Inc., an outdoor therapeutic program for teens in Paint Rock Valley, Alabama. Prior to BCC, Hires served as the executive director of the New England String Ensemble. Hires currently serves as a board member of Urbanity Dance, president of the BU Arts Administration Alumni Association, and is a College Access Program Mentor at the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center.

Hires earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and political science, a master of theological studies, and a master of science in arts administration from Boston University.
