Glenda Crawford

Dr. Glenda Crawford is a conductor and music educator originally from Oakville, Canada. She recently completed her DMA at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she majored in Choral Conducting. She is presently visiting professor at Xavier University, Cincinnati where she is responsible for the music education program, conducting courses and women’s and men’s choruses. Prior to relocating to Cincinnati, Crawford was the founder and director of the Oakville Children’s Choir, an internationally recognized multi-level community children’s choir program. She is presently the conductor of the Northern Kentucky Children’s Ensemble Concert Choir. Crawford is recognized for her innovative concert programming, collaborations with arts groups and leadership in the field of choral music education. She has been invited to teach, adjudicate and guest conduct in Canada and the US.  She is the recipient of the Oakville Arts County Leadership award and the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for her contribution to the arts.
