  The San Francisco Lyric Chorus, under the direction of Music Director, Robert Gurney, invites singers to join us for our exciting Summer 2018 trimester.  We have openings in all parts, especially for Altos, Tenors and Basses.  We know all choristers will enjoy singing this delightful and varied program.     Program:  Song of the Universal John Corigliano:  Fern Hill  Eric Whitacre:  Five Hebrew Love Songs  *  This Marriage   Ola Gjeilo:  Luminous Night of the Soul  *  Song of the Universal Rehearsals begin Monday, May 21, 2018 Rehearsals are held on Monday nights from 7:15-9:45 p.m. Our concerts will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 5 p.m. in Trinity+St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, San Francisco. Bach Choir Houston Auditions

The Bach Society Houston announces auditions for the Bach Choir for the upcoming 2012-2013 season.   The Bach Choir is a paid, professional ensemble of 16 singers, the only vocal ensemble in Houston specializing in historically-informed performance practice of baroque music. Its season of concerts and Bach Vespers centers around Bach’s cantatas, but includes five centuries of choral music by his predecessors, contemporaries, and later composers whom he influenced.
