Dr. Iris Levine, KT Sullivan

Join us for a fun and light-hearted evening of solos, duets and choral pieces from American lyricist and composer, Stephen Sondheim.  And for a special treat, KT Sullivan will be joining us on stage!

Lyrics that dazzle with rigorous precision, seamlessly merging with glorious melodies – such artistry can only be the work of the Tony and Academy Award-winning lyricist-composer, Stephen Sondheim. Join us for a salute to the Maestro of Musical Theatre in a memorable evening of light-hearted patter, tear-inducing ballads and dazzling choreography, as we go Side by Side with Sondheim.
Solos, duets and choral pieces will cover his six decades in the theatre, from comedic musicals such as “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” to the dark and edgy “Sweeney Todd” and the fairy tale twists of “Into the Woods.”
In typical Vox fashion, our medley of Sondheim’s songs about women gets a feminist twist in a newly-commissioned arrangement by Georgia Stitt.
Highlighting our Sondheim tribute is acclaimed cabaret artist and Broadway actress, KT Sullivan!  KT is fresh off the world tour of Our Time: Sullivan and Harnar Sing Sondheim, and we’re thrilled to share the stage with her!  KT has established an impressive lifelong career in the performing arts – a career that includes appearances at Carnegie Hall, the Laurie Beechman Theater and the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel in New York City.
Let us entertain you as we sing in the key of Sondheim and show off some fierce dance moves with typical Vox panache. Talk about a win-win evening for the books!
