Start Pride Week on the right note -- Join Boston Choral Ensemble for our fourth concert of the season, Rainbow Connection: Pride! During this concert we will celebrate LGBTQIA+ colleagues with music and texts by LGBTQIA+ writers and composers, including Francis Poulenc and Benjamin Britten.
This season marks the 10th anniversary of our annual commission competition. The winner this year is Mari Esabel Valverde, whose piece “Wondrous Glow” sets a poem by Amir Rabiyah. We are delighted to bring this commission to Boston.
Boston Choral Ensemble envisions a richer and more diverse choral scene in Greater Boston and beyond. We hope this concert will bring additional visibility to LGBTQIA+ composers and writers as we celebrate Pride Week.
Please join us at Oberon in Cambridge for an evening of beautiful music, themed drinks, and wonderful poetry.
