Two enjoyable selections from Handel's creative and prolific tenure in England and one from Charpentier with orchesta and soloists Jessica Cooper, Catherine Hedberg, Charles Blandy, and Thomas Jones will provide an exciting program.

 
On Sunday, November 11th, 2017 at 8 pm Assabet Valley Mastersingers with orchestra will present the concert “Praise from the Royal Courts” under the baton of Artistic Director Robert P. Eaton at Congregation B’Nai Shalom, 117 East Main Street in Westborough.  Two enjoyable selections from G.F. Handel’s creative and prolific tenure in England are Chandos Anthem #11 Let God Arise and Chandos Anthem #6 As Longs the Hart.  The Te Deum of Marc-Antoine Charpentier will bring the concert to a majestic and festive conclusion. Vocal soloists soprano Jessica Cooper, mezzo Catherine Hedberg, tenor Charles Blandy and baritone Thomas Jones will complete the ensemble.
 
 
 
Concert tickets may be purchased through www.AVMsingers.org or in advance at Gray’s Carpet Center, Northborough; David French Music Co., Westborough; Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union; English Gardens Florist, Southborough; Serendipity Jewelry, Art, & Whimsy, Hudson; and both Joy-Den Jewelers and Main Street Café in Marlborough.  Advance sale tickets from outlets in these six towns are discounted $3 (three) from the regular price of $25 (twenty-five) and $20 (twenty) for students and senior citizens.  Please note:  Active Duty Military and all Veterans will be honored by FREE admission to this AVM concert.  (Service members please check at ticket table outside of concert.)

Partial funding for the Assabet Valley Mastersingers, a non-profit organization, has been provided by the  Massachusetts Cultural Council through Arts Councils in Boylston, Clinton, Grafton, Hopkinton, Hudson, Marlborough, Northborough, Shrewsbury, Southborough, and Westborough.  Webster Five Foundation has generously donated funds to help support availability of limited complimentary tickets for seniors in certain towns.
