The 9th World Peace Choral Festival
"Coming together to sing, singing for a better future", the World Peace Choral Festival is organized annually in Vienna in the 2nd half of July, supported by the Austrian federal government authorities, the city government of Vienna, the Vienna Boys Choir, the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna, NGOs, enterprises and a series of personalities. Since its premiere in August 2010, choirs from Europe, Asia, North America and Africa have participated at the festival and brought beautiful memory back home.

From July 26 – 29 2018 Vienna will be once again the stage for choirs from around the world. Under the slogan "Coming together to sing, Singing for a better future" the participants will model and promote world peace.
One of the festival’s highlights will be the Closing Ceremony - together with the Vienna Boys Choir - in the world-renowned "Golden Hall" of the Musikverein on July 29th. Other highlights will be the Opening Ceremony in in Vienna’s most famous church and landmark: St. Stephen’s Cathedral on July 26th, concerts in the Peter’s Church on July 26th and performance in the UNO-City on July 27th. In addition to the concerts, workshops will be organized under the leadership of Gerald Wirth, artistic director of the Vienna Boys' Choir.
Dr. Heinz Fischer, The Federal president of Republic Austria, took over the patronage of the festival.
