35th Annual Conference

Minneapolis, MN
Event date:
13 Jun 2012 to 16 Jun 2012

Chorus America's 35th Annual Conference is not to be missed! Featuring performances by nine of Minnesota's premier choruses, a massed youth choir, a morning sing with Garrison Keillor, and keynote speakers Marilyn Carlson Nelson and Melanie de More, among others, this Conference will inspire and educate.

The Conference features four days of breakout sessions, peer learning, our famous buttonhole consultations, and, through our partnership with the American Composers Forum's Choral Connections conference, the opportunity to interact with hundreds of choral composers. In-depth seminars focused on fundraising, building multicultural organizations, and examining the nonprofit business model will expand your toolbox, while a Conducting Masterclass on 19th-century repertoire provides artistic growth for conductors and observers alike.

And, of course, there will be amazing concerts on every day of the Conference from Minnesota's finest ensembles, all kicking off with a gala opening concert showcasing the music of Minnesota composers and culminating in a grand finale: a world premiere by Stephen Paulus written expressly for the occasion!

Network with experts, colleagues, and new friends while taking away practical advice to help your chorus thrive even in the midst of economic uncertainty. After all, many hands make bright work!
