Join us as we virtually celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in our twelfth annual performance.
Black History Month is celebrated all throughout the month of February. “Lift Ev’ry Voice & Sing” – often referred to as the “Black National Anthem” was written in Jacksonville, FL by James Weldon Johnson. It was first performed by a choir of Jacksonville children on February 12, 1900 in honor of Abraham Lincoln's birthday.
All proceeds and donations from the concert will benefit The Jacksonville Children's Chorus' ongoing programming and scholarship funds.
All paid virtual guests will have exclusive access to this content published by the JCC.
