Enjoy the opportunity to hear Handel's masterpiece in its entirety, performed by the Choral Society of Pensacola.
First performed in 1741, this meditation on the birth, passion, death, and resurrection of Christ has earned a place as one of the best-known and most best-loved works in the classical repertoire. And it has played an important role in the history of the Choral Society, which grew out a performance of selections at a meeting of the Music Study Club of Pensacola in 1935 and which has presented the work, at least in part, every year since.
This year, the 70-voice community chorus and the Choral Society Orchestra are joined by soloists Carla Connors, Monika Cosson, Randall Black, and Patrick Jacobs.
Tickets are $30 and $35 and may be purchased available through Ticketmaster.com or the Saenger Box Office. Special rates are available for students and groups of ten or more.
