Stephanie Benton

Conducting Scholar

Stephanie Benton hails from Colorado, where she grew up taking piano and dance lessons, composing music, and singing in the Colorado Children's Chorale. Stephanie attended the University of Denver, receiving music degrees in piano performance (B.M.) and choral conducting. (M.M.) After graduation, Stephanie led various community choirs and church groups in Denver.

In 2009, Stephanie became a professor of music at Pikes Peak Community College, where she was part of the piano faculty; and also at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, where she led the choir and taught various courses. In 2012, Stephanie moved to Germany and led the Rheinland-Pfalz International Choir, a 50-voice choir of mixed nationalities, which was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall in January 2017. She has since returned to the USA, and resides in Fairfield, CA, where she leads the Rockville Presbyterian church choir and is the assistant director and pianist of the Orpheus-West Chamber Choir.
