Artistic Director, MUSE – Cincinnati’s Women’s Choir – Cincinnati, OH
MUSE, Cincinnati’s Women’s Choir, is a 75 member auditioned choir in the culturally rich city of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Founded in 1984 by Dr. Catherine Roma, MUSE is a highly regarded women’s choir nationally and continues to be guided by her original vision ofmusical excellence and social change.  MUSE is a choral community of feminist women of varied ages, races, and ethnicities with a range of musical abilities, political interests, and life experiences -- women loving women, united in song.
Primary responsibilities of the Artistic Director include:

• Oversee the artistic health and growth of the choir in accordance with the mission, vision, operating budget, and strategic plan
• Conduct a weekly choir rehearsal, with optional additional rehearsals as needed
• Direct the production of two or three MUSE-produced concerts per year
• Conduct and program as many as 25 community performances
• Recruit, selector hire, supervise and evaluate accompanists and section leaders
• Work collaboratively with the day-to-day operations of the choir including, but not limited to board meetings, music licensing, grant writing, community engagement and audience development
