Application Procedures
The Dale Warland Singers Commission Award is presented by Chorus America in partnership with the American Composers Forum. Criteria for the winning application will include:
The winning chorus will receive $2,500 upon signing the commission agreement, with the remaining $2,500 paid following the premiere after submission of score and archival recording to Chorus America. It is expected that the entire award amount will be designated towards the commissioning fee (no portion of it should be used for concert production costs). It is the responsibility of the chorus to reimburse the composer within ten days of receiving both payments. The new work must be premiered by the chorus within two years after receiving the award.

Please note: You must submit five (5) copies of each of the required application elements above, including the chorus recording and the composer's scores. All application materials, except recordings and scores, must be on 8.5 X 11-inch paper and three-hole punched. Recordings and scores will not be returned.
