Travis Branam

Since 2010, Travis Branam has been working closely with Colorado artists from across the spectrum of Identity to find authentic ways for music to connect disconnected communities. From 2005 to 2008, Travis taught music at East Ward Elementary School in Killeen, Texas. In 2008, Travis joined the artistic staff of the internationally acclaimed Colorado Children's Chorale as an Assistant Conductor. While with the Chorale, Travis directed the Prep Choir, assisted with all other choirs, and traveled nationally and internationally with their Tour Choir. Taking his philosophies about human connection and music to the next level, Travis left the Chorale to create Vocal Coalition in 2017, a youth chorus in Colorado. In addition to his work with VOCO, Travis is Assistant Conductor of the Colorado Symphony Chorus and worship pastor at the Lakewood Church of Christ in Lakewood, Colorado. He is also a member of The HadaNõu Collective (HNC), a group of equity-minded organizational leaders across Colorado who believe students, families, and communities can transform systems to create a more equitable society. Travis lives in Arvada, Colorado with his wife Emily and their dog Olive.
