A Salute to Valor Music Festival represents a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform aboard the deck of the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on the Fourth of July. The event will honor the men and women who serve or have served to protect our freedoms. January 7, 2013 Auditions for Valley Concert Chorale April performance features Durufle’s “Requiem” Livermore, Calif. – The Valley Concert Chorale, the Tri-Valley’s premier chorus, will hold auditions by appointment for their April and May concerts on the following dates: Monday, February 4, and Open Rehearsal Monday, February 11 Auditions and rehearsals will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Livermore. The church is located at 2020 Fifth Street. Rehearsals will begin February 4, at 7pm. The Chorale, now in its 49th season, will perform Durufle’s Requiem and Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna in April, and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Livermore Amador Symphony at the Bankhead Theater in May. The Chorale is seeking experienced singers with sight-reading skills who enjoy singing exciting and challenging music.
