The Vancouver Chamber Choir's new season opens with the music of Johannes Brahms, certainly one of the greatest composers of all time... and one who produced lots of wonderful vocal music. Duo-pianists Terence Dawson and Linda Lee Thomas join the Choir and conductor Jon Washburn for the evocative Liebeslieder-Walzer (Lovesong Waltzes), and there are also gypsy songs, a sacred motet, a movement from the Requiem, and pieces by Brahms’ close friends and mentors, Robert and Clara Schumann.
