The SCSO's "English Grandeur" concert features works by the late Romantic English composers:
William Walton - Belshazzar's Feast
Ralph Vaughan Williams - "Song of Thanksgiving" and "Five Mystical Songs"
William Mathias - "Let the People Praise Thee, O God" (Music for Lady Diana's wedding)

Metropolitan Opera Star Bass Baritone Clayton Brainerd will join the SCSO on stage along with Soprano Carrie Hennessey and special guest choruses, the Sacramento Children's Chorus and the Sacramento State University Choru . . . as well as a guest Narrator.
A pre-concert talk given by Conductor Donald Kendrick at 7 PM will feature the entire 220-voice SCSO Chorus on stage for the live "sound bytes". Projected supertitles will enhance the enjoyment and understanding of the audience members.
A free-post concert reception will provide the audience members with a chance to meet the artists.
A 55-member professional orchestra - the SCSO's orchestra - will accompany the large Chorus and soloists througout the evening.
