Immerse yourself in the resplendent ambience of the cathedral, as the voices of Seattle Pro Musica perform in surround sound, creating an unparalleled aural experience.
The concert features the rarely-performed Spem in Alium, Thomas Tallis' famous motet for 40 individual voices in eight choirs positioned around the audience. Resonance will also feature the world premiere of I Sing of Love by British composer Bernard Hughes, on Islamic, Jewish and Christian texts, commissioned by Seattle Pro Musica. Also on the program are stunning works for multiple choirs by Gabrieli and Tavener, as well as the beloved Ave Maria for men's choir by Franz Biebl.As part of our expanding Education and Outreach program, we welcome the top performing choirs from the Northwest Girlchoir, Seattle Girls' Choir, and Jubilate! of St. James Cathedral.
