OPCC remains dedicated to performing varied and exciting music. Highlighting our spring concert will be Randall Thompson’s The Peaceable Kingdom which has become the benchmark in American choral a cappella literature. This iconic work was inspired by an Edward Hicks painting of the same name. Just as Hick’s painting contrasts different elements of content and lighting, this concert will showcase contrasts of color, texture, tempo and dramatic portrayals. We hope you will join us for this evening of lush and exciting choral sounds.
