Randall McIntosh’s Misa Tariro combines a traditional Latin mass with sacred Shona poetry and the pulsating rhythms of an African marimba ensemble. Beyond the beauty and dynamic power of the unique combination of forces, the work is inspired by the resiliency of the Zimbabwean people in the face of their unbelievable hardships.
