The Spire Chamber Ensemble brings the ancient words of the Mass to life, capturing with unmatched depth and clarity, humanity's relationship to the divine. Unlike most of his compositions, Bach's Mass in B Minor was written for purely personal reasons. It is not only one of the greatest works of history, but a truly modern work, with much to teach us about how to live in our own time.
We will be joined by the REBEL Baroque Orchestra hailed as “Sophisticated and Beguiling” - The New York Times.
As one of the most extraordinary and exceptionally gifted early music ensembles in the country, REBEL players will travel from all over the country to Kansas City for this extraordinary event.
