PCS joins the Guilford College Chamber Singers to present choral masterworks by Johann Sebastian Bach and Benjamin Britten. Bach’s double motet, Komm, Jesu, Komm and Cantata 21: Ich hatte viel Bekümmernis will be followed by Britten’s Opus 69, Cantata Misericordium, created by the pacifist composer for the commemoration of the centennial anniversary of the Red Cross. This poignant and cathartic program will leave you with a sense of hopeful optimism.
