Chorus/organization name: Singing City Category: Artistic Duties and responsibilities: Singing City in the Schools seeks a part-time (8-10 hrs wk.) intern to assist its Schools Workshop team in the classrooms of Philadelphia public schools as they implement a 14-week choral composition and singing program. The intern would be working during school hours with the SCIS conductor and composer, teachers, and third, fourth and fifth grade students. Intern would among other things serve as an assistant to composer and conductor as needed during workshop sessions, helping out with administrative tasks and evaluation at the schools and in the Singing City office in Center City. In addition to the three 14-week sessions during the school year, there would be a one week summer camp session. Candidate will need to provide own transportation to get to schools and Singing City office, which are accessible by public transit and car.
